Your daily ritual

What consistent use looks like

CBD works best with consistency. Here is what thousands of Hempen customers have told us about their journey.

🌱
Week 1-2
Establishing your routine
Finding your rhythm. Morning or evening, 2-4 drops under the tongue. Building the daily habit that makes everything else work.
🌿
Week 3-4
Settling in
Your body is becoming familiar with a consistent CBD routine. Many customers begin to feel more settled in their daily rhythm.
🌳
Week 5-8
Building the foundation
The minimum recommended period for consistent use. Most customers find weeks 5-8 are when CBD has become a true part of their daily wellness routine.
Month 3+
Long-term ritual
For many of our subscribers, CBD has simply become part of their daily routine - like morning coffee or an evening walk. Consistent, calm, and natural.

Seed to shelf

Crafted with care,
rooted in Oxfordshire

For over 10 years, Hempen has been rooted in South Oxfordshire — a not-for-profit workers' co-operative, all things hemp, with purpose.

01
Grown organically

UK-grown hemp, Soil Association certified, cultivated without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or artificial fertilisers. Hemp cleans the soil as it grows — which means clean land is everything. Ours is independently certified year after year.

02
Full spectrum from the start

The oil is pressed at low temperature using physical pressure — no heat, no solvents. This preserves the full spectrum profile of the plant: CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBC, terpenes, and flavonoids all working together. The result is deeply green, earthy, and distinctively complex — the plant as close to its natural state as possible.

03
Tested and trusted

Every batch is independently lab tested before it reaches you — THC level, CBD concentration, full cannabinoid profile, contaminants. The full spectrum of terpenes and flavonoids is preserved through our low-temperature process, giving you an oil that reflects the complete character of the hemp plant. Then it goes straight to your door, free and tracked.

Why organic is non-negotiable

Hemp absorbs everything.
So does your oil.

Hemp is one of nature's most powerful bioaccumulators. That's an extraordinary quality — and it makes organic certification more important here than almost anywhere else.

🌱
The plant cleans the soil
Hemp actively draws toxins, heavy metals, and contaminants out of the ground as it grows. This is called phytoremediation. It makes hemp an extraordinary tool for regenerating damaged land — but it also means that whatever is in the soil ends up concentrated in the plant.
⚠️
Non-organic hemp is a risk
If the land has been treated with synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilisers, the hemp plant absorbs them. Those compounds then concentrate further during oil extraction. This is why non-organic CBD oil can contain residues that were never declared on the label.
🏅
Soil Association certified
Our hemp is grown on land certified by the Soil Association — the UK's most rigorous organic standard. No synthetic pesticides. No herbicides. No artificial fertilisers. Independently verified every single season. Not a label we apply ourselves — a standard we are held to externally.
🌍
Hemp improves the land
Grown organically, hemp does not just avoid damaging the soil — it actively improves it. Deep roots break up compacted earth, increase aeration, and improve water retention. Hemp is a natural crop rotation partner that leaves the land in better condition than it found it.
💨
A natural carbon sink
Hemp absorbs CO2 at a faster rate than most plants — including trees — as it grows. An acre of hemp can absorb several tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. Choosing organic hemp products is one of the few consumer decisions that is genuinely carbon positive.
🔄
Clean from the ground up
When you choose Hempen, you are choosing oil pressed from a plant grown in verified clean conditions, on land that is getting healthier every year. The organic certification is not a marketing badge. It is the reason you can trust what is in the bottle.

Why full spectrum matters

The whole plant.
Not just one part of it.

Most CBD products isolate a single compound. Full spectrum keeps everything the plant produces working together — the way nature intended.

Standard
CBD Isolate
A single compound — CBD — extracted and separated from everything else the plant contains. Pure and consistent. But missing most of what makes hemp interesting.
Contains CBD only
No terpenes
No flavonoids
No minor cannabinoids
No entourage effect
Hempen
Full Spectrum
The complete profile of the hemp plant — cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and fatty acids all present and working together. The oil as close to the plant as it gets.
CBD + CBDA + CBG + CBC
Natural terpene profile intact
Flavonoids preserved
Omega fatty acids present
The entourage effect
🌿
The entourage effect
The compounds in hemp work better together than in isolation. Cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids interact with each other in ways that amplify the properties of the whole. This synergy is called the entourage effect — and it only happens with full spectrum oil.
🍋
Terpenes
Terpenes are the aromatic compounds that give hemp its distinctive earthy, complex flavour. They are found in many plants — lavender, pine, citrus — and contribute to the character of the oil. In full spectrum oil, the natural terpene profile is preserved. In isolate, they are absent entirely.
Flavonoids
Flavonoids are a group of plant compounds found across the natural world — in berries, vegetables, tea, and hemp. They contribute to the colour, flavour, and overall profile of full spectrum oil. Like terpenes, they are present in the whole plant but absent from CBD isolate.
What about CBDA?
CBDA is the raw, acidic precursor to CBD found in the live hemp plant. Most extraction methods use heat, which converts CBDA into CBD — destroying it in the process. Our cold pressed oil is particularly high in CBDA because we press at low temperature without heat. It is one of the things that makes the cold pressed range genuinely different from anything else on the market.

Why it matters

Organic vs non-organic CBD

Hemp is a bioaccumulator — it absorbs everything from the soil it grows in. That makes the quality of the land everything.

Everything you need to know

Common questions

Will this get me high?
No. Our oil contains less than 0.01% THC - far below the legal limit and not enough to produce any psychoactive effect. Hemp and cannabis are different plants.
What does cold pressed mean?
Cold pressing means we extract the oil by applying physical pressure, without heat or solvents. This preserves a wider range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and nutrients that are destroyed by heat-based extraction.
How much should I take?
Start slowly - 2 to 4 drops once or twice a day. Give your body a few days to adjust, then increase gradually if needed. Use for at least 8 weeks consistently for best results.
Is this CBD organic?
Yes. Certified organic by the Soil Association - the UK's leading organic certification body. You can view our certification on our lab reports page.
Is CBD legal in the UK?
Yes. Hemp-derived CBD with less than 0.2% THC is legal to buy and use in the UK as a food supplement. Our products contain less than 0.01% THC and appear on the FSA's validated novel food list.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, at any time. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. You can pause, change frequency, or cancel from your account dashboard.
What is the difference between your oils?
The Cold Pressed Oil is our most raw product - deeply green and earthy, highest in CBDA. Our Organic CBD Oil is lighter and golden with a more refined flavour. Both are available in multiple strengths.
How long will delivery take?
Free Royal Mail Tracked delivery on all Hempen brand orders. Typically 2 to 3 working days. Subscribers get free delivery automatically on every order.
