Support the Hempen Crowdfund! We need your help!
We’re being drowned out from the digital space by the corporate CBD brands with mega marketing budgets run by big advertising agencies. Despite our premium quality products made with love and care, we’re struggling to get our voices heard over the noise from companies churning out poor-quality CBD isolate products without a second thought for the land their products come from, the farmers and makers or their communities. Our face to face sales are down since the pandemic, and our website traffic is dwindling as we battle hemp blocks on Google Ads, social media restrictions and shadowbans. Along with the changes to CBD regulations, the post pandemic cost-of-living crisis has also hit us, and many other independent businesses, hard. We know that it has been tough for many of us and that not everyone has cash to spare. However, we have a plan, and we need to call on our community’s support to pull the Hempen Crowdfund off.
Next Level Community Co-op
We’ve spent the last eight years grafting to build a co-operative community business and to craft a range of products that we’re truly proud of. Our workers, volunteers, customers, friends and family have made this social enterprise happen with sheer passion and belief in our mission. We’re co-operatively cultivating hemp solutions that regenerate the health of people, rural communities and the land. We are asking our community for support for the Hempen Crowdfund to help us take Hempen to the next level.
Scaling Up Our Story
We aim to raise £55,000 for our marketing costs so we can share our story, vision, and products far and wide. We know that when we spend on marketing, we sell more. So it’s the best way to create a virtuous cycle of investment leading to increased sales and greater impact. This in turn can lead to further investment in the next phase of our business. We’re ready to grow into a mature, world-changing organisation and challenge the status quo on a bigger scale. The little guys can stand together in community against Big Pharma, Big Tech and corrupt governments to demonstrate a healthier way of doing business… aided by a strong marketing team. Every donation counts.
Digital Market Stall
We realise that fundraising for marketing costs sounds a bit dry and marketing lingo makes some of us die a little bit inside. But in the post-pandemic climate, we need to embrace telling our story online to cultivate a better world made of hemp. Before the pandemic, in person events were our bread and vegan butter. Amazing opportunities to connect with our customers, to talk about the wonders of hemp and what makes our products so powerful. Since 2020 these events are fewer and less busy than before. We need to take our market stall to every screen in the country.
Hempen’s Future
Your contributions will help elevate Hempen to be around for a long time to come, so that if hemp and CBD become popular, it’s people like us with ethics they are buying their goods from. We need more search engine optimised blogs, more accessible content like the video above to educate, inspire and spread the word about this magic plant that can help us build a healthier world. Thanks to some very generous supporters, we have already managed to build a new website (check it out!) and it is a huge step in the right direction. We just need the funds to invest into sharing our story with the people that haven’t yet heard of Hempen. We want to show that supporting a community co-op focused on organic, regenerative farming practices is the healthy holistic choice for everyone.
No Bosses, No Shareholders
We’ve built a horizontally organised community co-operative where everyone gets paid the same hourly wage, all major decisions are made by consensus of the members and all profits get ploughed back into the mission – no bosses, no shareholders. We’ve crafted an organic product range out of hemp that holistically benefits the user, the maker, the farmer, and the land it was born out of. We’ve taken on the government’s corruption and are fighting for a world where hemp can grow freely and where everyone can benefit from its ancient power.
